# Ambiq Micro's Singapore listing sold no shares; three executives sold stock before November 10

> The Austin chipmaker dual-listed on the SGX Main Board without issuing a share, days before three senior executives sold stock. Its filings show growth outrunning a narrowing loss; the November 10 quarter decides whether the second listing was housekeeping or a door left open.

[Ambiq Micro](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/ambiq-micro), the Austin designer of ultra-low-power chips that run AI on watch batteries, has added a second listing on the Singapore Exchange without selling a single new share. That tells you what the listing is for: it is market plumbing built in advance, not money in the bank.

The company's own filings show why plumbing matters. Revenue grew to $33.9 million in Q2 2026, up 89.7% from a year earlier, and the net loss narrowed to $7.1 million [8]. Growth is outrunning burn, for now. The test of whether that holds is [the third-quarter print on November 10](https://www.marketnewsdesk.com/index.php/ambiq-micro-to-report-third-quarter-2026-financial-results/) [2].

*Chart: **Ambiq's revenue is accelerating while its net loss narrows** Ambiq quarterly revenue rising from about $18 million to $34 million over three quarters while the net loss narrows from $10.7 million to $7.1 million*

*Quarterly revenue and net income in millions of US dollars, from Ambiq Micro's SEC filings. Seven quarters to Q2 2026. [8]*

## The listing adds a market, not money

The Singapore move was announced on July 29, 2026: Ambiq [listed on the SGX Main Board as AMQ](https://www.morningstar.com/news/business-wire/20260729712033/ambiq-expands-global-capital-markets-presence-through-singapore-exchange-mainboard-dual-listing) alongside its NYSE ticker, the first sizeable global fabless chip designer to do so, in the words of SGX's Pol de Win [7]. No new shares were issued [1]. CEO [Fumihide Esaka](https://theinference.org/markets/people/fumihide-esaka) frames it as commitment to Asia-Pacific and direct access for Asian investors, backed by [an EDB-supported multi-year R&D program for the SPOT platform](https://asianomist.com/article/ambiq-micro-adds-sgx-listing-boosts-singapore-rd) and more than 30 staff in a Singapore hub that dates to 2021 [1].

## Why build the channel now

Ambiq raised $96 million at its July 2025 IPO and another $179.4 million in July 2026, which Esaka calls sufficient capitalization "for now" [1]. A dual listing that issues nothing is how you pre-build that next raise: a regional shareholder base, an EDB-subsidized R&D bill, and a ready market when growth needs more money.

US holders should read it that way, and note that in mid-October [the three most senior executives all sold stock](https://theinference.org/article/ambiq-s-officers-have-sold-at-every-price-from-72-down-to-49): CEO Esaka $255,017 [3], CTO Scott Hanson $357,000 [4], and President and COO Sean Chen in [a Form 4 dated October 14](https://uk.investing.com/news/stock-market-news/form-4-ambiq-micro-inc-sean-chihhsiang-chen-president-and-coo-for-14-october-93CH-4915491) [5]. Small sales, but three at once from the top table.

## From silicon to your wrist

The chain runs from silicon to the device. SPOT's subthreshold design lets chips run AI at microwatt power, which is why more than 300 million devices ship with them [2]. Faster edge inference means device makers rebuild products around always-on AI, which is where Ambiq's growth comes from. The company is doing the work in the gap between capability and product, and deserves to win it.

On November 10 we see whether 89% growth keeps narrowing the loss [6]. If it does, the SGX listing was good housekeeping. If not, it was a door left open for a third raise. AMBQ closed at $50.35 on October 23 [6].

Readers should judge management by one question between now and the print: is the second listing building distribution for a company that needs less capital each quarter, or insurance for one that does not.

## Takeaway

Ambiq's Singapore listing raised nothing and all three top executives sold stock days before the print; the November 10 quarter decides whether the second listing was housekeeping or a door left open for another raise.
