# Google's Gemini made Apptronik's robot land 7 straight shots from video alone; Jabil is the only listed stock

> On October 13 Google's Gemini 4 Argon learned cornhole from video and taught Apptronik's Apollo seven straight throws, at an introductory $2 per million input tokens that expires on November 30. The only listed company in the robot's chain is Jabil, and its shares rose that day on data-center hardware, not humanoids.

The most telling robot demo of the year involved a beanbag. On October 13, Google's AI lab DeepMind [launched Gemini 4 Argon](https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/models-and-research/gemini-models/introducing-gemini-4-argon/), its new frontier model, and showed it watching raw video of a human playing cornhole, mapping the physics itself, writing its own simulation code, then sinking seven consecutive shots on [Apptronik](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/apptronik)'s Apollo humanoid in a real-world trial [1][2]. Google says the pipeline compresses weeks of manual simulation work into a few hours [1].

The brain has a price tag, and it is temporary: Argon rents at an introductory $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens until November 30, 2026, then doubles to $4 and $20 [1]. The body comes from Apptronik, a private Austin company valued at $5 billion in a February funding round co-led by Google, whose Apollo robots already work in designated areas at Mercedes-Benz, GXO Logistics and Jabil sites [3].

## Seven throws do not make a product

Investors cannot buy Apptronik. The only listed leg of the Apollo program is [Jabil](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/jabil) (NYSE: JBL), the contract manufacturer helping carry Apollo into factories at scale, which reported $36 billion of revenue in fiscal 2026 [4][5].

On the day of the Google demo, Jabil closed up 1.87 percent on $390 million of turnover, the heaviest in the market, after [signing a non-binding 50:50 memorandum of understanding with Adani Enterprises](https://www.morningstar.com/news/business-wire/20261013719250/adani-enterprises-jabil-sign-mou-for-5050-data-center-hardware-joint-venture) to build AI data-center hardware in India [5][6]. The catalyst was data centers, not robots.

## Tens of thousands of bodies, on a non-exclusive brain

Jabil says humanoids are leaving hand assembly for a phase of "tens of thousands" of units, where cost, manufacturability and quality decide who survives [4]. Apptronik already runs hundreds of robots at a 90,000-square-foot Austin site it calls Robot Park, dozens of them five-foot-eight, 160-pound Apollos [7][8].

Howard Morgan, who chairs B Capital, the venture firm that co-led Apptronik's February round with Google, expects $1 billion of Apollo orders from 2027, at roughly $80,000 per robot per year [3]. The brains will not be exclusive: Apptronik chief executive Jeff Cardenas says Google told the company from the start it is building "the Android for robotics," and its model "will go to many different partners" [8].

## The seller of the body may also carry its safety bill

Whether the developer that sells the body also carries its safety liability is being tested in a US federal court. [Figure AI](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/figure-ai), a rival humanoid developer valued at $39 billion in a September 2025 funding round, is [defending a whistleblower suit](https://startupfortune.com/figure-ais-former-safety-engineer-says-its-home-robot-can-fracture-a-skull/) from its former top safety engineer, who says its F.02 robot struck with more than 20 times the force the ISO 15066 collaborative-robot standard permits around people [9]. Figure says he was fired for poor performance and calls the claims falsehoods [9].

## What prices the split

Three readings will settle where the value lands: Apollo production volumes or a named fleet size by the end of 2026, the first hard test of outsourced manufacturing [10]; a paid product built on Argon's video-to-simulation pipeline [1]; and the Figure case, now in discovery [9]. The first would show whether outsourced manufacturing works, the second what a video-trained skill sells for, the third what selling bodies costs. For a holder of Jabil, the humanoid work is optionality, not earnings, until those volumes are named, and the market has already paid for the data-center leg.

## Takeaway

Google's Gemini 4 Argon learned cornhole from video and landed seven straight throws on Apptronik's Apollo, but investors can only reach the program through Jabil, whose rise that day was priced on data centers, not humanoids.
