# Harvey banked $550 million at $15.5 billion but left court dockets to PacerPro, so firms pay twice

> Harvey raised $550 million at a $15.5 billion valuation in September; Legora matched the check at $8.8 billion on October 21. Court dockets, the record litigation runs on, still enter Harvey only through PacerPro, a private court-data company neither round priced.

## Eleven connectors, no courtroom

On October 21, 2026 [Harvey](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/harvey) [said its Connector Library had reached general availability](https://blockchain.news/news/harvey-connector-library-generally-available-legal-workflow-integrations): document managers iManage and NetDocuments, storage in Box, Google Drive and SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Slack, e-discovery in Everlaw, Datasite deal rooms, Docusign signatures, with write-back starting at the document managers [1]. Court dockets are not on the list.

The docket arrives another way: [PacerPro](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/pacerpro), a private court-data company, pushes filings one way over its own API into Harvey's Vaults, PacerPro's team does the setup, and firm-wide history sync is still marked beta [2]. A firm running litigation on Harvey needs an active subscription to both [2].

## Same check, higher price

The plumbing shipped into a frenzied market. Harvey raised $550 million at a $15.5 billion valuation on September 9, up from $8 billion in December [3]. On the day the library went live, [Legora](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/legora), its Sweden-based rival, [closed the same $550 million at $8.8 billion](https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/legal-ai-startup-legora-valued-88-billion-new-550-million-funding-round-2026-10-21/), led by Atreides Management, after $550 million at $5.55 billion in March [4].

Legora reports more than $200 million in annual recurring revenue [5], and one trade tally counts $2.9 billion of legaltech funding in the first nine months of 2026, with these two raises worth $1.1 billion of it [6]. The listed incumbent Thomson Reuters ships its own CoCounsel on Westlaw's case-law library, and Clio paid $1 billion for vLex's archive [3].

## The rented record under the multiple

Harvey says [80% of the Am Law 100](https://theinference.org/article/harvey-sells-to-big-law-hires-22-of-its-lawyers-signs-iberdrola-for-300-seats), the hundred largest US firms, and five of the Fortune 10 use its platform, and on October 28 it [announced FedRAMP Class D certification](https://www.unite.ai/harvey-announces-fedramp-class-d-certification-for-federal-legal-work/), the high tier of the US federal cloud-security bar, hosted in Knox Systems' certified environment [7].

PacerPro, for its part, [claims 8 of the top 10 US firms](https://pacerpro.com/), more than 20 million filings from 1,000-plus courts over eleven years, and 99.7% retention: company figures, unaudited [8]. The valuation rests on litigation adoption, yet the curated library Harvey security-reviews [1] does not carry the litigation input.

That record travels on PacerPro's pipe, under PacerPro's security program [2], and Harvey's own documentation notes that an external connector's operator controls what happens to the data afterward [1]. PacerPro owns the land under Harvey's litigation farm.

## Watch the next release notes

The door swings both ways. Providers can apply to join the curated library, and Harvey already lets firms wire external connectors [1]. If Harvey builds or buys court data, the toll ends; until a docket connector ships, every litigation seat bills two subscriptions. The next Connector Library update, and any court-data name in it, is the tell.

## Takeaway

Harvey's $15.5 billion valuation prices litigation adoption, but the court record enters only through PacerPro; until a docket connector ships, every litigation seat bills two subscriptions.
