# Leidos cut 2026 revenue guidance by $200 million after selling its screening unit to Analogic

> Leidos trimmed its 2026 revenue guidance to account for the screening business it sold into Analogic, holding profit margin steady. The trade is deliberate: less hardware revenue, more AI products and hypersonic missiles, and investors now hold the gap.

[Leidos](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/leidos) has now paid for its own strategy in public. On Tuesday's earnings call the company [cut its full-year revenue guidance to $18 billion to $18.2 billion](https://www.washingtontechnology.com/companies/2026/11/leidos-hones-cyber-product-bet-whole-ai-powered-patching-process/417068/), from $18.2 billion to $18.4 billion, and said the cut partially accounts for the security-screening business it sold into Analogic [2]. It held the adjusted EBITDA margin outlook at mid-13% [2]. That is the whole trade in one line: Leidos is shrinking its revenue base to protect its margin.

The screening exit closed in early October, when the airport, ports-and-borders and industrial imaging lines Leidos ran as Security Enterprise Solutions [combined with Analogic into a private company under the Analogic brand](https://world-border-congress.com/analogic-and-leidos-complete-combination-of-security-enterprise-solutions-businesses/), led by Analogic chief executive Tom Ripp, with Leidos holding a minority stake [1][3]. The transferred business [carried roughly $625 million of projected 2026 revenue and about 1,500 employees](https://www.govconwire.com/articles/leidos-altaris-analogic-joint-venture) [3]. We covered the structure in October, including [the Blackstone-led $1 billion loan against the venture](https://theinference.org/article/leidos-shed-its-scanners-blackstone-just-lent-1-billion-against-them); what is new is the bill arriving in guidance [3].

## What Leidos bought with the hole

Management is redeploying toward product bets and defense hardware. Parcata, the AI platform built by Kudu Dynamics, the cyber specialist Leidos bought for $300 million, uses multiple large language models to find and patch software vulnerabilities in minutes; chief executive Tom Bell wants it commercially available later this year, and admitted to analysts he cannot yet bound the market [2]. On missiles, Leidos holds a $2.7 billion Army hypersonics contract from May and has [pulled in General Atomics to build Common Hypersonic Glide Body parts through 2031](https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/us-military-hypersonic-weapons-get-critical-parts-backing-with-general-atomics-deal/ar-AA2gKOm7) [4].

## The gap investors own

The counterweight landed the same month: the Navy's unmanned-vessel production round went to Galliano, HII and [Saronic](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/saronic), and Leidos, despite successful trials, won none [2]. So the ledger reads: a smaller revenue base, a steadier margin, an unpriced AI product, and a maritime setback. Whoever holds LDOS is betting margin plus missiles outruns a shrinking top line. Bell's own words about Parcata, "we can't exactly bound what that means for us," apply to the whole strategy [2].

## Takeaway

Leidos cut 2026 revenue guidance to $18.0 to $18.2 billion to absorb the Analogic screening exit, held margin at mid-13%, and is betting on the Parcata AI platform and a $2.7 billion hypersonics contract to outgrow the smaller base.
