# Ouster's 1,426 Ukraine missions are supplier-reported, and its $2.32 billion market cap faces Q3 on Nov. 3

> Forterra's uncrewed Lancers ran 1,426 Ukraine missions on Ouster lidar, and the same release tees up Rev8 as the next sensor. The counts are supplier-reported, the stock trades at 9.6 times trailing sales, and Q3 results land Monday, November 3.

## The missions happened; the sensor's share is unproven

On October 21, 2026, [Ouster](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/ouster) (Nasdaq: OUST), the San Francisco lidar maker, and Forterra, a defense-autonomy firm, [announced that Forterra's Lancer autonomous ground vehicles have completed 1,426 missions and 88 casualty evacuation operations in Ukraine](https://ca.marketscreener.com/news/ouster-sensors-play-key-role-in-forterra-s-lancer-completing-1-426-missions-and-88-casualty-evacuati-ce785cd9d989ff24), with Ouster Rev7 OS1 digital lidar in the perception stack [1]. Forterra built and delivered 105 Lancers in under six months; the uncrewed, Polaris RANGER-based vehicles arrived in theater in October 2025, ran more than 7,300 miles and carried up to 750 kilograms of supplies on routes that would otherwise have put a crew under constant drone surveillance [1].

## Rev8 is announced, not booked

The release reports one Lancer lost on a mission with no one aboard; nothing in it converts that loss into a claim, only into the fact that the vehicle was uncrewed when it was destroyed [1]. The same release says Forterra plans to advance AutoDrive, Forterra's autonomy software platform, on Rev8, Ouster's next-generation native-color lidar, built to ASIL-B functional safety under ISO 26262, the automotive functional-safety standard for sensors in self-driving systems [1]. Rev8 is [the fifth adoption or evaluation Ouster has announced since late August](https://investors.ouster.com/news-events/news-releases), after GUSS Automation (a [John Deere](https://theinference.org/markets/companies/deere-and-company) subsidiary), GeoCue, Flyability and Seneca [5].

## What the counts can and cannot prove

The figures are the companies' own account. Defense Autonomy Review [cautioned on October 29 that the mission counts are supplier-reported](https://defenseautonomyreview.com/articles/ouster-lancer-mission-counts-perception-evidence/), that nothing in the release isolates lidar's contribution to completed missions, and that a Rev7 operating record does not transfer automatically to a Rev8 vehicle; the Rev8 plan is an announcement, not a booked contract [2].

## The price already assumes the ramp

OUST closed at $32.14 on October 29, down 4.37%, and traded at $29.76 pre-market Friday, against a 52-week range of $16.40 to $63.79 [3]. Trailing revenue is $204.91 million against a market cap of about $2.32 billion, a price-to-sales of 9.63, with $261.08 million of cash [3]. Simply Wall St put the multiple at 9.8x against an electronic-industry average of 2.6x and a peer group at 3.8x, screening the stock as overvalued on sales [4].

*Chart: **Ouster revenue runs mid-tens of millions a quarter against a $2.3 billion market cap** Column chart of Ouster quarterly revenue from Q3 2024 through Q2 2026, in millions of dollars, rising from 28.08 to a 62.18 peak in Q4 2025 then settling in the high 40s to mid 50s.*

*Quarterly revenue in USD millions, from Ouster's SEC filings, retrieved October 30, 2026. Q4 2025 is the series high at $62.2 million; growth resumed in the first half of 2026. [6]*

The quarters behind the multiple show [revenue of $54.63 million in Q2 2026, up 56% from a year earlier](https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcompany&CIK=0001816581), with growth in every quarter for two years [6]. That is a real ramp, but mid-tens-of-millions quarters are what a 9.6x multiple has yet to be answered by [6].

*Chart: **Simply Wall St screens Ouster at 9.8 times sales, nearly four times the industry average** Bar chart of price-to-sales multiples: Ouster at 9.8x, its peer group at 3.8x, and the electronic-industry average at 2.6x.*

*Price-to-trailing-sales multiples as screened by Simply Wall St via Yahoo Finance, October 23, 2026. Market data puts Ouster's multiple at 9.63 against a $2.32 billion market cap. [4]*

## The stock has slipped further, and Monday is the test

[Prior Inference coverage on October 18, 2026](https://theinference.org/article/ouster-s-executives-sold-at-34-the-counter-drone-rally-peaked-near-62), "Ouster's Executives Sold at $34 [7]. The Counter-Drone Rally Peaked Near $62," flagged the executive selling near $34; what is new since that piece is the price itself, which has fallen further to $32.14 [7]. Ouster reports Q3 on Monday, November 3 [5]. The counts are the companies' own; Monday's filing is the first count that is not. Monday tests whether it holds.

## Takeaway

The 1,426 Ukraine mission counts are the companies' own account, and nothing in the release isolates what the lidar contributed. At 9.6 times trailing sales the stock already prices the ramp, and Q3 results on November 3 are the first count that is not supplier-reported.
