The silicon half is still a plan

At Nvidia's+2.22% — Nvidia, up 2.22 percent today GTC Berlin conference on October 21, 2026, chief executive Jensen Huang said agents will "think on Rubin, act on Vera and be governed on BlueField," as Nvidia released OpenShell, its reference architecture for running AI agents inside fixed limits 12.

CrowdStrike+5.73% — CrowdStrike, up 5.73 percent today followed within hours, its second turn on an Nvidia stage this month: Falcon Guardian, its agent-security product, now plugs into OpenShell's software runtime, while the tie to Nvidia Sentry, the BlueField-4 layer Nvidia says stops a rogue agent in milliseconds, is "planned," and Sentry itself ships early next year 13.

No financial terms were disclosed, and the release warns that unreleased features "do not constitute a promise" 3. Nvidia named 11 security vendors to the architecture, from CrowdStrike and Okta+7.72% — Okta, up 7.72 percent today to Zscaler+7.90% — Zscaler, up 7.90 percent today, Palo Alto Networks+2.69% — Palo Alto Networks, up 2.69 percent today and Check Point+2.21% — Check Point, up 2.21 percent as of its last quote 12.

The biggest customers still bar the door

What the bid assumes is a market full of agents to guard. The largest would-be buyers are refusing them entry. Charles Schwab's chief executive, Rick Wurster, says the brokerage blocks unauthorized agents ten to twenty times a week, and JPMorgan Chase−0.13% — JPMorgan Chase, down 0.13 percent today bars them from moving customer money 7.

Yelp−2.47% — Yelp, down 2.47 percent as of its last quote admits only agents that pay for its data, and Delta Air Lines+1.43% — Delta Air Lines, up 1.43 percent today blocks them from booking tickets 8. The industry is building locks for doors its biggest customers keep welding shut.

Record ARR, none of it agents, and a December test

The core business is real: record net new annual recurring revenue of $333 million in the quarter ended July 31, up 51% year over year, on $5.84 billion of total ARR, with fiscal 2027 revenue guided near $6 billion 5. CrowdStrike credits customers stacking more platform modules, and no disclosed line separates agent security 5.

Gartner+0.47% — Gartner, up 0.47 percent as of its last quote, cited at Okta's own conference, expects the average Fortune 500 to run more than 150,000 agents by 2028, and only 13% of organizations call their governance adequate 10. The quarter ending October 31 reports in early December, the first print where agent security could surface in net new ARR, the test flagged when Citi lifted the stock in mid-October 4.
