Nebius posts live GPU spot prices days after CoreWeave's bonds hit 15% yields
A dedicated AI cloud is now publishing a continuously updated market price for the same GPU capacity its rivals sell through opaque multi-year deals, days after CoreWeave's bonds hit 15% yields.

Nebius+0.89% — Nebius, up 0.89 percent today (NASDAQ:NBIS) put live, public spot pricing for GPU compute on its platform today at NVIDIA+1.94% — NVIDIA, up 1.94 percent today GTC, and the timing matters more than the product. The stock rose about 3% pre-market on the news 12. Four days earlier, CoreWeave's bonds, issued in June at a 9.675% yield, traded to about 15%, and Nebius itself lost 25.15% in the week to October 16, closing at $165.47 34.
The contracts are the collateral
The neocloud funding model runs on opaque, multi-year committed rents. Nebius counts more than $40 billion of customer commitments and expects over $9 billion of prepayments in 2026, about 39% of its expected $23.21 billion 2026 capex 3. CoreWeave+0.07% — CoreWeave, up 0.07 percent today carries roughly $52 billion of debt and lease obligations, sized against contracted rents like these 46. A continuously published spot board hands compute buyers a benchmark to renegotiate against, and creditors a market price to test that collateral with.
What happens if spot clears below contract
The risk sits in the gap. Rothschild Redburn cut Nebius to Sell on September 21 citing lower GPU prices 5. Truist+0.86% — Truist, up 0.86 percent today, by contrast, called Nebius's projected 4.5x 2028 EV/Sales multiple justified after last week's selloff 7. A public quote makes the spread between spot and contracted rates visible daily. Gartner's October 14 warning that more than 80% of neocloud providers will not operate independently by 2030 starts pricing itself in real time 5. The buildout behind those rates is not small:
Nebius capex is guided to more than double into 2027

Who wins, who carries it
Buyers of compute benefit either way. Whoever holds neocloud credit carries the risk. Nebius, funded by prepayments and converts rather than stressed bonds, can afford the transparency; CoreWeave, at 15% yields, cannot publish without repricing its own book 35. Nebius's Q3 report is estimated for November 10, and the number to watch is any update on prepayment terms, not revenue 35.
