Constellation sells 4.4 GW of PJM gas to LS Power for $5 billion, the toll for keeping Calpine
To keep the $26.6 billion Calpine takeover, Constellation is handing LS Power 4.4 gigawatts of the dispatchable gas PJM cannot get built, at about $1.14 million per megawatt. The nuclear fleet it rents to Microsoft and Walmart stays.
