SAP's record quarter: the cloud line it owns grows at 28%, the one it resells at 8%
SAP furnished the Extension Suite's constant-currency growth for the first time in a 6-K this morning, and on the same day loaded two more partner products onto its shelf. Investors pricing the AI story need to know which line each euro comes from.

SAP+0.33% — SAP, up 0.33 percent today furnished its first €10 billion quarter to the SEC this morning, and the interesting line is the slow one 1. The filing splits SaaS/PaaS into Cloud ERP Suite, up 28% at constant currency, and Extension Suite, up 8% 1. The suite customers buy is SAP's own. The shelf SAP is loading with other people's software grows at less than a third of that pace.
That gap is what is new today, and it sits alongside the story we filed on October 24, when SAP's services revenue fell 4% while its AI graded the exams certifying its own consultants 1. Since then the SEC filing added this SaaS split, and the morning added two more partner products qualified under SAP's brand.
The slow line is where partner software lands
The morning's announcements make the split concrete. Redwood's managed file transfer, Parloa's Agent Management Platform, sold under the name SAP Conversational Agent Management by Parloa for SAP Customer Experience, and Docusign's agreement management all became SAP Solution Extensions today: SAP-branded, SAP-sold, SAP-supported, built by partners 345. None of the announcements carries a price, a rate or a revenue split, and the SaaS table has no partner-extension line at all 1.
The line SAP owns grows at 28%; its extension shelf grows at 8%

What SAP owns is still what customers pay for
The chain matters here. SAP's Autonomous Enterprise pitch is that Joule agents act on the customer's business data and processes 1. The agent layer itself is not where SAP's moat lies; Parloa supplies the conversational agents, Redwood supplies the file plumbing agents will read, Docusign wires agreements back into the record.
What SAP owns, and what customers pay a premium for, is Cloud ERP Suite, the data and processes underneath. That is exactly the line growing at 28% 1. The gap-closer work, making agents usable inside an enterprise's actual workflow, is being done by partners and sold through SAP's channel on undisclosed terms.
Check the caveats before paying a suite multiple
Two caveats keep the record honest. One point of cloud growth was a one-off catch-up from customers returning from financial distress, and the three acquisitions added €49 million of revenue while cutting €39 million of operating profit 12.
Cloud gross margin also slipped to 74.3% on a non-IFRS basis from 75.1% a year earlier, with Klein citing higher hardware prices 12. And Asam says the fourth quarter carries about half of annual bookings, while SAP guides 2026 cloud revenue to rise 23% to 25% at constant currency, toward the upper end of its €25.8–26.2 billion range 12.
The judgment: SAP's AI story is real, but it arrives partly as distribution. If the agent layer flows through partner products at undisclosed rates, the Q4 print prices how much of that record quarter was owned software and how much was a storefront 12.
