Amazon net income jumps to $62.6 billion on Anthropic gains as AWS accelerates
Amazon's second quarter 2026 net sales rose 20% to $200.6 billion and operating income rose 43% to $27.5 billion, while AWS grew 37%, its fastest in 18 quarters. On June 8, 2026, Amazon entered into a term loan agreement with Citibank N.A., as administrative agent, providing a $17.5 billion senior unsecured delayed draw term loan facility.
