The natural gas pipeline operator building the South System Expansion 4 and Mississippi Crossing projects whose FERC certificates landowners and community groups asked the D.C. Circuit to overturn on 1 October. It co-owns the Southern Natural Gas system with Southern Company and books the $5.2 billion pair inside a $9.6 billion project backlog, with first service due from 2028.
