Lucid is the electric vehicle maker whose Gravity SUVs form the vehicle base of Uber's robotaxi fleet, with software from Nuro. Uber's order began at 20,000 Gravity SUVs, was raised to a 35,000-vehicle minimum, and came with an equity stake Uber has built past 11%. Lucid-built robotaxis are promised on Bay Area and Los Angeles streets before the end of 2026.
