Zoox

Zoox is a robotaxi company that built a purpose-designed autonomous vehicle with no driver controls. It self-certified the vehicle, withdrew the claim under federal investigation, and in July received a NHTSA exemption covering eight safety standards and 2,500 vehicles a year. Its permission-first path is the regulatory contrast to Tesla's Cybercab.
