Dantchik attended Bayside High School in Queens and the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he roomed with Jeff Yass and met the other four people with whom he founded Susquehanna International Group (SIG) in 1987.
At SIG he is managing director and a member of the executive committee. He helped set up the firm's China-based venture arm, SIG Asia Investments, in the mid-2000s; it invested in ByteDance, the parent of TikTok, in 2012, and SIG became ByteDance's largest outside investor. Dantchik sits on ByteDance's board as SIG's representative.
His CLAWS Foundation gives to libertarian groups in the United States, including the Institute for Justice and the Cato Institute, to institutions in Israel, and to Philadelphia causes such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In August 2023 he said he would stop giving to think tanks in Israel. He has never given an interview.
