Zeta Global reports Monday at $470.5 million consensus after a 24% run on AI partnerships its guide excludes

The stock has run 24 percent in three months on partnerships its own guidance excludes, and the size of Monday's beat, not its existence, is what the tape now pays for.

David A. Steinberg, Zeta Global's co-founder and chief executive. The company reports third-quarter results after the close on Monday, November 9.

Two weeks ago Zeta Global+5.70% — Zeta Global, up 5.70 percent today was telling investors its OpenAI$1.18T — OpenAI, private, latest valuation $1.18T, Palantir+3.60% — Palantir, up 3.60 percent today and Snowflake+2.77% — Snowflake, up 2.77 percent today partnerships were not yet in the numbers. On Monday the numbers arrive, and they are built the same way: the company's own $469 to $472 million revenue guide, raised about $10 million last quarter, excludes revenue from those partnerships and from the Athena agent entirely 1. A beat on Monday can therefore validate the AI repositioning only indirectly, by showing the core is strong enough to spare room for what comes next.

Up 24% since the last report, 12% off the high

That matters more than usual, because the market has already paid for the story. Zeta Global, the New York marketing-data company that now calls itself an intelligent AI infrastructure company, has climbed about 24 percent since its last report while the S&P 500 slipped roughly 3 percent 1.

This column reported the stock touching a 52-week high of $34.83 on October 13 after two acquisitions with no disclosed price 5; what is new since is the pullback to about $30.52, roughly 12 percent below that high, a Goldman Sachs−0.12% — Goldman Sachs, down 0.12 percent today upgrade on October 16, and a Street consensus that has settled at $470.5 million for the quarter 1 7. A report after the close on Monday, November 9 will either fund that premium or start unwinding it 11.

Merely hitting guidance would break a 20-quarter pattern

Wall Street expects $470.5 million of revenue, up 39.5 percent year over year, and non-GAAP earnings of $0.28 a share, up 27.3 percent; the more engaged estimate, the Earnings Whisper, is $0.30 1 3. That revenue line sits at the midpoint of management's own guide, which Zeta topped by $23 million last quarter 1.

Zeta has beaten and raised for 20 straight quarters, so merely hitting the $469 to $472 million guide would break a pattern investors have been paid to expect 1. Zacks' model, which is neither bullish nor bearish here, shows a 0.00 percent Earnings ESP with a Hold-equivalent rank and does not conclusively predict a beat 9.

The core is quietly diluting

The engine funding the AI story is losing some of its mix. Direct platform revenue slipped to 72 percent of the total from 75 percent as new agency clients started on low-margin social channels, pushing cost of revenue up 300 basis points, and growth in average revenue per super-scaled customer, Zeta's largest spenders, cooled to 17 percent from 21 percent 1.

The cash engine still runs: Zeta raised its free cash flow target to $255 million 1. The acquisitions, Senso and Digital Audience, bought in October with no price disclosed, remain unpriced on the record 5.

The tape has stopped paying for unsized beats

The stock is down 4.8 percent over the past month into the print, worse than its peer group's 1.4 percent average decline 8. The peer evidence is concrete: AppLovin+9.76% — AppLovin, up 9.76 percent today beat by 5.4 percent and jumped 31 percent; DoubleVerify+0.15% — DoubleVerify, up 0.15 percent today beat by 1.1 percent and its stock went nowhere 8.

Zeta's consensus sits only about $1.5 million above the guide midpoint, so the size of the beat, not its existence, decides the price 1.

The sell side has already chosen. On October 16 Goldman Sachs raised its price target on Zeta from $30 to $45, saying it sees upside to 2027 estimates, while cutting Klaviyo−0.96% — Klaviyo, down 0.96 percent today, a competing marketing-software vendor, on weaker visibility into newer growth drivers 7. Brokerages Roth Capital, Truist−1.10% — Truist, down 1.10 percent today Securities and RBC Capital Markets sit behind targets of $55, $38 and $40 4.

What decides it Monday

Watch three lines: any disclosed contribution from OpenAI, Palantir or Athena; whether direct mix stabilizes; and whether the implied fourth-quarter guide holds or rises within the $1.811 to $1.824 billion full-year outlook 1. A beat carried by the acquisitions counts for less than a beat carried by customers, because the bought growth was already in the price.

AppLovin added $54.3 billion in five sessions; lead-plaintiff papers in its suit are due November 16

Lead-plaintiff papers in the AppLovin securities class action are due November 16, nine days after a five-session rebound added $54.3 billion to the stock. The suit does not contest whether the company's AI ad models work; it contests the improvement schedule the company allegedly promised.

Pinterest's growth fell from 18% to 12%; management pins 3 of the 6 lost points on an EU customs repeal

Pinterest shares have slid for two sessions, to $18.96, since third-quarter revenue growth fell from 18% to 12% and a securities investigation opened. Management attributes three of the six lost points of growth to Europe's removal of the de minimis customs exemption, and says the pullback has begun to stabilize.
