Background screening
First Advantage is the only listed company that does nothing but background screening, and so the only public proxy for the AI hiring-fraud theme. It grew by acquisition rather than by a fraud-defense boom, closing its $2.2 billion takeover of rival Sterling Check on October 31, 2024, and its quarterly revenue shows no published bump from fraud work.
