Rockwell Automation launched FactoryTalk Conductor with Nvidia models; insiders sold $64.9 million
FactoryTalk Conductor ships in the first quarter of 2027, so fiscal 2027 guidance on November 5 cannot carry its revenue, yet insiders sold $64.9 million over the past year while the stock traded about 30% above GuruFocus' value estimate.

Rockwell Automation+1.24% — Rockwell Automation, up 1.24 percent today spent one week becoming an AI company on paper: it launched FactoryTalk Conductor, an AI-native orchestration platform for factories, added Nvidia Nemotron open-model support a day later, and announced a grid-to-process partnership with Hitachi Energy. None of it earns a dollar before the first quarter of 2027, when Conductor is set to ship 124. The stock closed October 22 at $423.87, down 3.3%, about 30% above the $325.58 value estimate from GuruFocus, a valuation-data service, at roughly 39.9 times trailing earnings 13.
So the premium rests on businesses that exist today. 123
Orchestration is the right layer for factory AI
Conductor is the right layer to build. Individual AI copilots help with single tasks; a factory needs agents that coordinate design, simulation and testing software together, which is what Conductor does. It plugs into Rockwell's existing Studio 5000, Emulate3D and Optix tools, and lets customers run models locally or through Rockwell's hub 24. That on-premises option, reinforced by the Nemotron open models, is what gets industrial AI past security and compliance departments, the link that has held factory adoption back. 24
The Hitachi Energy collaboration extends the same logic from software to power: mining and metals customers get grid connection and process automation designed together, which is where electrification and production now meet. 5
The price assumes delivery the product has not made
But watch what the price assumes. Conductor ships in early 2027 with no price, no named customers and no measured results, so fiscal 2027 guidance on November 5 cannot carry its revenue 23. Rockwell's own survey of 1,560 manufacturers in 17 countries found 34% of their operations already AI-augmented, which supports the direction, not this product's bookings. 2

Meanwhile insiders sold $64.9 million of stock over the past year and bought nothing, while the market paid about 39.9 times earnings against Honeywell's single digits 13. November 5 is the test: watch the organic growth and margin line in the fiscal 2027 guidance, and whether it supports a multiple near 39.9 times on an automation business that, for now, is what the price is actually paying for. 3
