SAP sells Docusign's contract tools inside its own software; DocuSign trades at $85.27 vs $71 target
SAP began selling Docusign's agreement management as its own branded extensions on October 26, Docusign's second major embed in thirteen days. The first print that can price either deal is fiscal Q3 earnings on December 3.

Docusign−1.34% — Docusign, down 1.34 percent today got SAP's−0.31% — SAP, down 0.31 percent today sales force yesterday, and that is the strongest answer yet to the bet that AI agents kill agreement software. SAP will sell two Docusign-built products, one for SAP Sales Cloud and one for SuccessFactors, as SAP-branded SAP Solution Extensions; both are generally available today, announced October 26 13. The short thesis says agents rebuild seat-priced software and starve the incumbent. Docusign's counter is to sit inside the systems where enterprise agreements are born.
Three embeds in four weeks
The mechanics matter. Contract data syncs straight back into SAP, so a signed deal or offer letter feeds the next forecast, renewal or onboarding step, and Joule Work integration will let agents coordinate agreement-driven work across a company's systems 3. That follows the October 13 Salesforce launch putting IAM natively into Salesforce−1.80% — Salesforce, down 1.80 percent today, Agentforce and Slack for agentic workflows 4, and Docusign opening its MCP Server to Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot on September 30 5. In two weeks Docusign embedded itself at the origin point of most enterprise contracts and became callable by the agents themselves.
Either agents draft contracts where the CRM and HR systems live, where Docusign now sits, or outside both platforms. Docusign is buying the first outcome and hedging the second.
What is missing is money
Neither company disclosed terms or revenue split 23, and SAP's channel does not make Docusign's per-seat pricing visible until the print. The first test is fiscal Q3 earnings on December 3, the first report since both deals 7.
Last quarter revenue was $875.75 million, up about 9%, with adjusted EPS beating consensus 7. The stock closed Friday at $85.27 against an average analyst target near $71, so the price already assumes the embedding works 61. What would change my mind: attach rates or SAP-channel bookings quantified on December 3, and agreement volume flowing through the MCP server 61. Neither side of this trade has priced the SAP deal yet.
Docusign's growth has held between 7% and 9.4% for three straight years
