Delta Cargo goes live on WiseTech's CargoWise as revenue growth slows from 79% to 6-10%

Delta's air freight arm is live on CargoWise, giving forwarders real-time Delta capacity and rates without emails or portals. For WiseTech it is the third North American carrier connection and the concrete mechanism behind a guidance range that expects growth to slow from 79 percent to 6 to 10 percent.

Delta's belly cargo network reaches more than 300 destinations through its passenger flights, now bookable inside CargoWise without emails or portals.

Delta Cargo, the air freight arm of Delta Air Lines+2.70% — Delta Air Lines, up 2.70 percent today, is now live on WiseTech Global's+1.45% — WiseTech Global, up 1.45 percent today CargoWise Carrier Connectivity Program, the companies announced on October 13 1. Freight forwarders using CargoWise can see Delta's schedules, rates and live capacity, and plan, book, confirm and amend shipments without an email, a phone call or a separate portal 1. For a business that still runs on rate desks and rekeyed data, that is a real change in how the work gets done.

The network effect is the product

Delta operates one of the world's largest belly cargo networks, more than 300 destinations across six continents through Delta's passenger flights 1. North America represents almost a quarter of global air cargo by cargo tonnes-kilometres, per IATA figures cited in the release 1. CargoWise is used by 23 of the 25 largest global freight forwarders and, per LiftVector, by more than 20,000 logistics companies across 193 countries 2.

Every carrier wired in makes the platform stickier for those forwarders, and every forwarder on it makes the next airline easier to sign. Delta is the third major North American connection after American Airlines and Air Canada 2.

Reach is not revenue

The open question from our October 2 piece on the AirlineConnect launch still stands: neither WiseTech nor Delta has said how the money flows on bookings made through the connection 3. The September GSSA deal with ATC Aviation, which brings some 300 airlines' capacity into the same booking environment, shows the same pattern: growing reach, silent pricing 3.

What investors are underwriting

The timing matters. WiseTech's FY26 revenue hit US$1.40 billion, up 79 percent, but net income fell 11 percent to US$178.7 million under e2open costs and an AI-driven restructuring that cut 1,700 jobs 4. FY27 guidance of US$1.48 billion to US$1.54 billion implies just 6 to 10 percent growth 4, and the stock at AUD 32.09 on October 7 sits far below its 52-week high of AUD 87.14 4. Delta is not guidance, but it is the mechanism guidance rests on. Watch the November 27 AGM for whether live connections convert into bookings 44.
