Podium says its AI agents hit $150 million in revenue, and its next target is ServiceTitan's contractors
The private Utah company says its AI-agent business reached $150 million in annual recurring revenue in 2.5 years and turned profitable. Incumbent ServiceTitan, whose contractor market Podium is entering, cut operating-income guidance 33.6% on September 8 to fund its own AI platform and lost about 30% of its value.

Podium, a private company in Lehi, Utah, said on October 22, 2026, that its rebuilt AI-agent business has passed $150 million in annual recurring revenue in two and a half years; its original texting-and-reviews software needed eight years to reach the same mark 1.
More than 20,000 agents now answer calls, book jobs and follow up on leads for dealerships, contractors and aesthetics practices, and Podium says customers have generated more than $13 billion in revenue with them 12. The company had raised $201 million at a $3 billion valuation in November 2021, before the pivot 3. Co-founder and CEO Eric Rea told Inc. it is now profitable and generates free cash flow, figures no public filing backs 4.
A pivot priced at 12 percent of the staff
The rebuild had a cost: Podium cut 12 percent of its staff in December 2022 before pointing engineering at agents 4. Since early 2026 it has sold an AI Operating System for Home Services, field service management for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and garage-door contractors, and it says hundreds of contractors have moved off legacy FSM platforms 56. "In 12 years I have never met a contractor who loves their FSM," Rea said 5. "They use it because they have to" 5. Y Combinator co-founder Paul Graham called the reinvention "founder mode" in action 4.
The incumbent is paying for its answer
The contractors Podium is recruiting are ServiceTitan's−4.70% — ServiceTitan, down 4.70 percent today base. ServiceTitan (Nasdaq: TTAN) is the incumbent cloud platform for the trades. On September 8, 2026, it reported slowing growth in gross transaction volume, the value of business flowing through its software, and guided quarterly operating income to $29-30 million, a 33.6% sequential decline, saying it dropped a planned expansion into new trades to concentrate investment on Max, its AI platform 7. Shares fell roughly 30% the next day, and plaintiff firm Bleichmar Fonti & Auld is investigating whether statements about Max and the trade expansion misled investors 7.
In early October, at its Pantheon conference, ServiceTitan pitched Max as the answer: 30 agents, first built with 50 contractor customers, about 700 locations expected by fiscal year-end 8.

Scale on one side, claims on the other
ServiceTitan still holds the scale: $292.8 million of revenue in the quarter ended July 31, 2026, up 20.9% year over year, though it has posted a GAAP operating loss in each of the past twelve quarters while spending into AI 9. Podium's defection count, its $13 billion customer-revenue figure and its profitability are its own numbers, with no audit or filing behind them 125. What settles it is dated: ServiceTitan's December-quarter gross transaction volume, whether Max's 700 locations hold, and any independent count of contractors leaving legacy FSM 125.
